Liver Toxicity

Nonetheless, it still passes through the liver as any other oral compound. In fact, even oral vitamins and supplements can cause some level of liver toxicity when you use them as oral pills. However, the level of toxicity is so low, that you need to use Proviron in very high doses for very long periods for it to damage your liver.

There are people and studies suggesting that using Proviron year round in low dosage won’t cause liver damage (because of the liver’s ability to recover itself). The ability of the liver to recover itself in no way means that you can or should abuse Proviron. But you can use this steroid in a much safer manner than most other oral steroids.

Negative Effects on HPTA

Proviron is a mild steroid but remains a steroid. It has some negative effects on HPTA so if you want to fully recover it back, you shouldn’t use it during PCT as some people suggest. Nonetheless, some people do use it for PCT and they claim to have success. While I don’t recommend doing so, it proves that Proviron is actually mildly affecting your HPTA.

In terms of an actual PCT plan after a cycle with Proviron – you obviously would need one. Not as much as because of Proviron itself, but because you always need to stack it with more powerful anabolic steroids that do require a PCT plan. Again, a standalone cycle with Proviron is not a good idea.

Androgen Side Effects

Mesterolone was originally created for treating androgen deficiency. Therefore, since it is the purest DHT version on the market and since it increases androgen levels, exactly as any other anabolic steroids on the market, you may experience an increase in androgen levels, thus, androgen related side effects.

There are many of them, the most notorious ones include oily skin which can lead to acne, as well as hair shedding which can lead to male pattern hair loss. But as I said, some attempt to use it for many months continuously. I still wouldn’t really recommend doing so unless you know what you’re doing, have experience, and use it in very low doses. Despite its mildness, side effects can still occur.
